Thanks for posting this, Atlantis! It is important for all to know that the Borg is still bent on weaseling out of complying with the intent of laws about reporting accusations or suspicions of CSA. It sure seems like they are more intent on protecting their reputation and their money than they are protecting innocent and vulnerable children.
I may have overstepped myself, but I emailed copies of the Mandatory Reporter Training instructions and Q&A page directly to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. I truthfully stated that I do not know the original source of the leaked internal documents, but that I believe them to be authentic.
I don't know if the State of Illinois will take any action on this or not, but I hope they rip the Borg a new one and take a long, hard look at how slippery and duplicitous they are.

Thanks, Atlantis! Some of this can be quite dry, but other parts show just how elaborate the complex will be. Could be used to counter claims that the Borg is building a "modest" complex to further "Kingdom interests." No wonder they keep begging for money and pressuring their minions to obligate themselves to regular monthly contributions. Sheesh!

Thanks for posting this. I've never seen a better more or less complete restoration of the original.
There is another content creator who claims he has about 45 minutes of original content that is missing from this version, but it seems he has only completed and posted Part 1 to YouTube. The latest segment from him that I could find was from 2017. What he has posted, however, is very good quality. I can tell both sources worked long and hard to restore the material properly and make it as close to the original as possible. Both have provided a valuable service to those interested in WT history or early filmography.

20 Things I Don't Understand about Jehovah's Witnesses
by Vanderhoven7 ini don’t understand how jehovah’s witnesses can rightly claim:.
that less than 150,000 faithful christians existed prior to the 20th century....when allegedly millions were martyred during the first 3 centuries of the common era alone.
unique ability to interpret scripture...when interpretation of prophecy has been 100% wrong for over 130 years.. .

That's the thing. They can't rightly claim anything of the sort.
The points you listed only scratch the surface, but they do show that the Watchtower organization is little different than any other religious cult. They haven't required all their adherents to sign over all their possessions and wealth yet, but they did essentially take over all the assets of all the congregations. They haven't required all their followers to move to a single compound, but all the leadership and administrators are either cloistered together in upstate NY or under the thumb of HQ wherever they are.
Nowadays, they are little more than money-grubbing televangelists, using mind-control tactics and peer pressure to squash embarrassing questions about their dubious teachings and practices. They encourage social coercion and emotional blackmail to keep family members in line.
Even with all that, I too have only scratched the surface.

I, too, simply faded and didn't bother to formally disassociate. And they didn't bother to disfellowship me, even though they had legitimate grounds to do so several years ago. I had moved far away and hadn't claimed to be a JW for many years, so as the holy writ from their religious overlords in NY suggested, they just held the matter in abeyance.
Besides not wanting to play their game by feeling like I owed them a formal statement, I thought that by not being formally DA or DF, it would leave the way open for some JW family to maintain a normal relationship. Some did and others have shunned me anyway. Some treat me as they always have and others act like I have a price on my head. Go figure.
My dad was a long-time elder, but he never shunned me or asked me to stop calling or visiting him, even after he learned I was "living in sin" (at the time). He yearned for me to "throw myself on the mercy of the brothers and return to Jehovah," but I explained it would be of no value if I didn't really mean it. It would be pointless and hypocritical. I wouldn't be fooling anybody. Reluctantly, he finally accepted things as they were and we moved on. Most other family members followed his lead until he passed away. Then the self-righteous and judgmental ones made a big show of cutting me off from anything family related, not even informing me of major events like deaths, marriages, and births. Their loss.
Anyway, I think you are handling this situation admirably. Good on you for helping your dad despite the fact that it probably wouldn't be reciprocated if the situation was reversed. You're setting a better example of "Godly love" than most JWs do, despite all their bloviating and self-promotion.

by Terry inthe calendar giveth and the calendar taketh away!did you know…?we are all familiar with the disoriented feeling of time distortion when daylightsavings time occurs twice each year - but - imagine the radical discombobulationa calendar change resulting in the disappearance of 300 years!
!yeah - i know!but that could never happen.
or maybe um - well - nah!

Interesting hypothesis. Even if proven correct, does anyone suggest we reset the calendar yet again?

The first is a VICE documentary from August 1, 2021 about WT's policies regarding child abuse and how their 2-witness rule effectively protects child molesters and enables them to continue to abuse children over and over, sometimes numerous children over many years. It briefly touches on the blood transfusion policy, but the child abuse issue is clearly the focus. Mark and Kimmy O'Donnell and Barbara Anderson explain their motivations and why they are now activists. The Palmer Congregation child abuse letters are mentioned as well.
The second is the May 31, 2018 episode of the A&E news documentary "Cults and Extreme Beliefs" that highlights the JW's, hosted by Elizabeth Vargas.
Both are well worth watching.
